The Word of God
It is True and it is authentic. It is perfect and it is complete. It has no mistakes in it and it is accurate. It is from God and it tells us about God. It was written by men who lived in the first century. These men were inspired by God and they recorded exactly what God told them to write. This record has been preserved by the Power of God through the centuries and we have it today… it is called the Bible and it is the Word of God.
I want to tell you some things about the Word of God.
It is more than just a book. It is more than just an historical record. It is more than literature. It is the very Word of God and it is alive and full of Power. “For the Word of God is alive and powerful…” (Heb 4:12) It is filled with the Life of God and it is full of the Power of God.
It tells us about God. It reveals the Nature of God. It uncovers the mystery concerning God. It tells us that God is Creator of all things. “In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth…” God is the author of all things and the Creator of all things. He made the earth, the heavens, the sun, the moon, the planets, the stars… He created all things that exist. He created them by His Power!
It tells us that God made Man in His own image. He created them male and female and He breathed His life into them… Man became a living being created in the likeness of God, his Father. God wanted a family to love and to bless. God wanted a family that would love Him and honor Him. The Bible, the Word of God, tells us that God created man.
It tells us that man sinned against God. It tells us that man disobeyed God and betrayed God. The Bible tells us that man refused God’s love and turned to satan because of pride and greed. It tells us that this sin separated man from God and made it impossible for man to fellowship with God. Man became a sinner and man’s sin built a wall or barrier between God and man. The Bible, the Word of God tells us how sin came into the world and how that sin separated man from God.
It tells us that God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to die in behalf of man and because of man’s sin. Jesus, the Son of God, came to earth and lived as a perfect man. He was betrayed by man and crucified on the Cross as a sacrifice for my sin and your sin. He became sin for us in order that you and I might be forgiven. He died on the Cross so that we can be restored to God. By His death, we are afforded Eternal Life. The Bible, the Word of God tells us this.
It tells us that all men everywhere can be forgiven of their sin and restored to God through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. In fact, the only way for anyone to be reconciled to God is though His Son, the Lord Jesus. How is this possible? It is possible when you and I recognize that we need God…that we need forgiveness of our sin. It is possible when we acknowledge that Jesus Christ is indeed the Son of God and that He died for our sins on the Cross. The Bible, the Word of God tells us how we can be Saved… how we can be reconciled to God and how we can receive Eternal Life. This is the most important information man can ever know. And this information is given to us in the Bible, the Word of God.
The Bible, the Word of God, tells us how to live. It tells us how we can live life abundantly. It tells us how we can overcome hardships and change circumstances. It tells us how to live in victory when defeat is all around us. It tells us how to be happy and filled with joy in times of sadness and depression. It guarantees us that we can win over any situation in life that is bad. I know that we all have times when we feel we can never succeed. I know that you have times that are hard and impossible. The Bible tells us how to win over any situation… no matter how impossible it may seem. The Word is alive and filled with power. It is filled with the Power of God and the Power of God is greater than any difficulty or impossibility anyone can ever face.
The Bible, the Word of God, tells us how to be well and not sick. It tells us how to be healed from sickness and disease and infirmity. It tells us how to overcome any adversity… it tells us how to get healed and stay healed. This is why you and I need to know the Word of God. The Word of God is TRUTH and TRUTH has more power than FACTS. When we know the Truth, the Truth will make you free… free from sickness, sin and defeat. When you believe the Bible you are elevated into the realm of the supernatural. Jesus said that if Believe what? Believe the Word of God!!
Do you want to really live? I mean, do you want to live life to its fullest? Do you want to have victory over sin, sickness and defeat? Do you want to have all your sin forgiven? Do you want to receive healing and enjoy divine health? Do you want to be free from depression, sadness, worry and heaviness? Do you want to be assured that when you die you will go to heaven? The Bible tells us how! It tells us that if we believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died on the Cross for our sin that we will be saved. Saved from sin, sickness and defeat. It tells us that men can be saved if they will simply call on the Name of the Lord Jesus and receive Him into their hearts.
