Word for Today:  June 10

Eternal means forever.

Eternal means without end.  Timeless.  It is very hard (nearly impossible) for anyone to comprehend the meaning of Eternity.  We are creatures captured and held hostage in a span of time.  We live in submission to time.  We are controlled by time.  Time is our enemy.

We are destined to die because we are subject to time.   Seconds.  Minutes. Hours. Days. Weeks. Years. Decades. Centuries. Millennia.   All these become the defining term for the passing of time.

Everything in the human experience is related to Time.  Everything we know about has a Beginning and is rushing madly toward an End.  Such is Life.  Stuff gets old because of time.  We get old because of time.  We are so immersed in “time consciousness” that it is all but impossible for us to become “eternal conscious.”

I am challenging you now to think Eternal.  Think Bigger and larger and greater than you have every thought.  Let your Imagination soar to new heights as you consider the Vastness… the Expanse… the Unsearchable and Indefinable scope and size of Creation.

Every Mortal Being, saved or lost, is Eternal.  Not the body, but the mind (soul) and the Spirit.  Where the body is “mortal,” the mind (soul) and the spirit of man is “immortal.”  They will last forever.

If one is Born Again, that person will Live forever.  If one is not Born Again and dies in his sin, that person will Die forever.

Life is a dress rehearsal for Eternity

God’s Greatest Enemy is not the devil.

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8

The devil is already whipped.  He is not God’s greatest enemy.  God’s greatest enemy is the carnal (unrenewed human mind).  Only here, (in your mind), is what God has done and can do for you limited or brought to pass… manifested.

When you think wrong you believe wrong.  Your “believing” will never exceed the bounds of your “thinking.”  In other words, if you can’t “think it” you can’t “believe it.”  And, when you can’t “believe it” you won’t have it.

When our minds are renewed with the Word we are “transformed” or “transfigured” from the worldly, natural manner of thinking to the spiritual, supernatural manner of thinking.

And as you “think” in your heart, you are.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  Rom 8:7

The carnal mind is enmity against God…

It is God’s biggest enemy

Has God ever lost a battle?

Has He ever had to take flight and run because the enemy was too big?  Has He ever conceded or fallen into confusion and despair?  Has He ever been afraid?

Remember Who He is and who you are.  You are wall-to-wall God.  “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.”  Don’t be impatient.  You do not have to rush God.

It seems that the very nature of our present world is one of hurry.  Rush.  Speed.  And this contributes to our impatience… our unwillingness to wait.  God’s time and our time may not be the same.

The production time of the Word is programmed in and it is as dependable as God is dependable.  What is programmed will come to pass.  What He promises He will perform.  What He says He will do.  He will confirm His Word “In due season.”   Waiting will develop your patience.

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4

Waiting is one of the hardest things to do in our Faith Walk.  It is not hard to ask in prayer.  It is not too hard to believe….  But it is next to impossible to wait, with patience, until God confirms His Word and produces in us the “wanting nothing” condition.

God has said we will “reap in due season IF we faint not…”  Gal 6:9

So be patient

The Truth about Salvation

June 6, 2021

God has a plan and purpose for you.  God brought you into the Kingdom for a reason.  Nobody is saved by accident.  There is a purpose and plan behind salvation.  According to Ephesians you were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world!!  God saw you holy and without blame before Him in love and you were foreordained unto adoption into His family!!  Hallelujah!!

The rationale behind Salvation is wonderful!!  Salvation is more than deliverance from hell.  Salvation is more than going to heaven.  If this was all God intended in Salvation, He would have killed you the minute you got saved!!  God is a “much more” God!!  God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think according to the power that worketh in us!!  (Eph 3:20).

Salvation provides healing for your body!!

Salvation provides soundness for you mind!!

Salvation provides protection from danger and death!!

Salvation provides deliverance from the powers of darkness!!

Salvation provides preservation and security and sanity and peace and prosperity and “all needs met” living!!

Salvation is the most costly and miraculous of all the Works of God!!  And you and I are the objects of this great Salvation!!  “How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation…”  (Heb).

Salvation involves the whole man.  Salvation involves the spirit, the soul and the body.

Salvation includes all dimensions of time.  Salvation is past, present and  future.

Salvation is both temporal and eternal.  Salvation begins on earth and is completed in heaven.

Salvation transcends all natural laws  and reaches into the supernatural sphere of God’s existence… where God dwells!!

Salvation places us in the same class with God.   Salvation imputes God’s nature into the Believer and transforms the sinner into a saint.

Salvation enables man to look like God, act like God, talk like God, think like God and operate like God.

Salvation immerses the believer into the supernatural realm of the God kind of Faith.

Salvation recreates the believer in the Image of God and conforms him to the likeness of Christ.

            Salvation produces fruit.

            Salvation involves Power.

Salvation elevates man to the heavenlies where he is seated with Christ.

Salvation energizes the believer with supernatural power so that he may live heaven’s life here on earth.

Let’s talk about the WHY of Salvation.  Why did God save you?  What purpose does He have in mind for your life?  What is the reason for your redemption?  We need to understand that no one is saved by accident!!  There is reason and rationale behind your redemption.  You were and are saved for a plan and purpose… an Eternal Plan and an Eternal Purpose.  God made you Righteous and He made you Righteous so that you might accomplish some things here on earth.

God knew you before the foundations of the earth were formed!!  He knew you and loved you and planned on you before Creation!!   He looked forward with great anticipation to the time that you would be brought into the dimension of Time and Space.  God orchestrated the genetic structure of all your ancestors…. all the way back to Adam…. just to produce in YOU the characteristics and talents and abilities HE needs for this hour in human history!  God planned you with more care and creative genius than He planned anything else in all the Universe.  You are important to God.

God saved you to make you like Him.  God wants you to be like Him.  He wants you to look like Him, talk like Him, think like Him and act like Him and He want you to do it Right now where you are!!  His greatest pleasure comes from the fact that you resemble Him.  You are recreated in His Image.  You are predestinated to be conformed to the Image of His Son (Rom 8:29).  He wants you to operate here on earth just as He operates in heaven.  God wants His Kingdom to come and His will to be done ON EARTH.  The way that His Kingdom comes and His Will is done ON EARTH is when you act like Him.  When you live like Him.  When you think like Him.  When you talk like Him.  It is doing what God does the way God does it that changes the world.  When we realize we can be like God our whole perspective on life changes.  Why would God will for us to be like Him if it were not in the realm of POSSIBILITY?  If we can be like God we can do the IMPOSSIBLE.  If we can  be like God no power in hell will ever defeat us.  If we can be like God no sickness can overtake us.  If we can be like God all our needs will be met and all our dreams will be realized.  God saved you to be LIKE HIM.  His Nature has been imputed into you and your Recreated Human Spirit is now alive with the Life of God and you are MORE than a conqueror!!

“What is man that thou art mindful of him?   and the son of man that thou visitest him?  For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels (Elohim), and hast crowned him with glory and with honor…”   Psa 8:4-5

Now, what is God like?  What does God do?  What does He think?  What does He say?  How are His emotions?  How does God handle the devil?  How does God feel about victory and success and prosperity?

First, God is LOVE so God Loves.  God is Love.  All God does comes out of Love.  God is Good and God is good all the time. God is Love and God loves all the time.  God forgives.  God does not hold grudges.  God is not resentful.  God does not wish harm or evil on anyone.  God loves with a special kind of love.  It is not sensual.   (eros)  It is not brotherly.  (philios)  It is supernatural.  It is Agape.  It is love that is unconditional.  It is love that loves regardless.  It requires nothing in return.   God wants us to love like He loves.  He says love your enemies.  Pray for them that despitefully use you.  Do good to those who hate you.  Be kind to those who are mean to you.  Be like Jesus.  “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do…”  God is a Faith God but God’s faith works by Love.  “Faith worketh by love…”

Next, God is Power.  God is not weak.  God is not worried.  God is not afraid.  God is not distressed.  God is not depressed.  God knows that what needs to be done and He knows how to do it and He knows He can do it.  Because He has the power and the ability to do it.   If you are a Believer, you need to know that He has imparted His power into you.  We have heaven’s potential in us.  We have the power and ability in the Name of Jesus to do whatever God wants us to do when God wants us to do it!!   Nothing is too hard for God and nothing is too hard for the believer who has the Power of God in him!!!  God saved you and me so that we might manifest His power here on earth.  He wants His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven and the way this is to be accomplished is by the Power of God working in the Believer!! “Now unto Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us…”  (Eph 3:20).  This is the reason we are winners.  This is the reason we are “more than conquerors…”  This is the reason the Church is the most powerful organism on this planet…  The Church is like God.  We are like God.  We are possessed with the Power of God.  We have His Mind and we have His heart.  And we have the Power and the Ability to do the will of God RIGHT NOW!!  Hallelujah!!

God is Bold.  God is courageous.  God is not backward, shy or embarrassed.  God never plans on failing or backing down.  God is aggressive and He knows Who He is.  He knows what He can do.  He acts on His Word and He fears nothing and nobody.  He walks in assurance and confidence.  He always wins.   If this is Who God is and How God is, then we are to be the same!!  Bold.  Courageous.  Not backward, not shy and not embarrassed.  Never planning on failing or backing down from a challenge.  Aggressive, and aware of who we are.  Understanding what we can do.  We are to act on His Word and be afraid of nothing and nobody.  Walking in total confidence and assurance.  Knowing that we always win… no matter what!!

God is Rich.  God is not thrifty.  God is opulent.  God is wealthy.  God is abundant.  God is a “much more” God!!  God lives in splendor and grandeur.  His word declares that He owns the cattle on a thousand hills.  The Bible says that the Earth is His and all the fullness thereof.  All the riches of the world belong to God.  All the minerals and precious stones and natural resources are His.  He owns it all!!  He made it and He likes it!  The reason you and I like nice things is because God likes nice things.  It is not a sin to like nice things or to have nice things.  God promises abundance to those who are obedient and unselfish with their giving.  Where did we get the idea that in order to be a Christian one had to be poor?  If we are Christ-like (that’s what “Christian” means) then we must be God-like and if we are like God then we are blessed with  good things and we are blessed with them without measure!!  Listen to Mark 10: 29:  “And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left HOUSE, or brethren, or sisters, or father or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My sake, and the gospel’s But he shall receive AN HUNDREDFOLD now IN THIS TIME, HOUSES, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life…”   It scriptural to expect the Hundred fold return!!

God is not thrifty.  God is not a Wall-Mart God!!  Check out His City!!  God lives in a city of Gold.  (Read Rev 21: 16-21).  The streets are paved with pure gold. The gates are made of pearl and the foundation of the wall is mixed with all kinds of precious stone.  God is rich.  God likes nice things.  Notice His clothes.  The Bible says that His train (coat-tails) literally fill the temple!!  Look at the Garden He put Adam and Eve in.  See the land of Gold and Silver and Precious, priceless gems and minerals.  God is Rich!!  The reason we like nice things is because we are like God.  God saved you in order to bless you.  He likes for you to have good things.  He wants to heap on you the blessings of heaven.  It is not bad to be blessed and it is not good to be poor!!

God did not design man for Salvation, He designed Salvation for man.  The New Covenant in the Blood of Jesus (which is Salvation) covers anything and everything that man will ever need.   When God ordained that all men everywhere of all time “might be saved” through the Blood of His dear Son, He designed a Salvation that exceeds all provisions and privileges and opportunities and benefits that were in place before the Fall.     This “Great Salvation” negates all of satan’s power.  It destroys all of satan’s works.  It cancels all of sin’s consequences.  It takes all authority away from satan and gives all authority to the New Creation Man.  This Salvation which we take so for granted, is worthy of our study and consideration.  There’s more to it than “meets the eye!”  We will never be able to fully comprehend and understand all… ALL that Jesus bought for us through His death, burial, resurrection and ascension.  But let’s give it a try!!  Amen??This is indicated in the very  words God selected to describe this supernatural act of Re-creation.  Note:

Salvation is past, present and future.  Salvation begins on earth and is reaches into the heavenlies.  Salvation    Salvation imputes God’s Nature into us.  Salvation makes us look like God, talk like God, think like God and act like God.  Salvation elevates us into the supernatural realm of God and conforms us to His very Image.  God saved and fixed us so we can be like Him.

God is victorious.  He is never sick, tired or defeated.  He never has a bad day.  God has no money problems, marital problems, business problems, mind problems, personality problems, or relationship problems.  God does not worry.  God does not fear.  God does not give up or give in.  God never changes.  He is the same.  God is Truth.  He speaks truth, thinks truth, lives truth and does truth.  God is just and honorable.  God never cheats, lies, steals, gossips, back-bites, gambles, smokes, drinks, or loses His temper.  God is merciful.  God forgives and forgets.  God gives second chances (and third and forth and fifth…etc.).  God understands.  God empathizes.  God feels.  God cares.  God has compassion.   God gives.  God multiplies.  God helps.  God loves.

Being Born Again is being blessed beyond human understanding.

“There is only one relationship that really matters, and that is your personal relationship to your personal Redeemer and Lord. If you maintain that at all costs, letting everything else go, God will fulfill His purpose through your life. One individual life may be of priceless value to God’s purposes, and yours may be that life.”  Oswald Chambers

What are those things that plague us?  What is it within the Human Experience that brings pain and grief?  What are the things that are burdens and problems to us?  It is precisely here (where we hurt) that God focuses His Grace.  His Provision.  His Relief.  We have seen just how these provisions are met in the Covenant He made with us and that is guaranteed by the Blood of Jesus Christ

What is hurting you?  Where are you broken and wounded and sad?  What has come into your life that produced fear and dread and pain?  What are those elements in the Human Experience that make your life miserable?  Do you understand that every misery and pain in life is caused by the devil?  By the powers of darkness?  By those spirits in high places that purpose to kill, steal and destroy?

If we can come to know God’s Purpose for us, we can better get our lives in agreement with it.  Once we come into a living agreement with the Purpose God has for us, we can experience the Abundant Life Jesus promises in John 10:10.

Everybody wants the abundant life, but they may be in agreement with the Purpose God has for them.

And until this takes place, true fulfillment in life is impossible.

And real Peace evades us

Word for Today:  June 5

“I don’t know what to do!”

Have you ever been in a place where you honestly did not know what to do?

The first temptation is the temptation to try to fix it ourselves.  Plans.  Procedures.  Steps to take.  People to see.  We want to “fix things.”  We want to “fix” people.  Instead of throwing our cares and worries and tribulations on Jesus, we think we can fix it ourselves.  We try.  And it does not work.  We try something else, and it does not work either.  We reason.  We consider the problem.  We analyze it, examine it, look at it from every angle and try again.  Another failure.

Finally, we remember to pray.  And seek God.  And ask God.  And turn to God and confess that without His intervention, all our human and natural efforts will not produce any answers.

O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee. 2Chron 20: 12

The King’s army was outnumbered (2Chron 20). They were defenseless against such overwhelming odds.  They had no escape route…. Nowhere to run.  Nowhere to hide.  Nowhere to seek refuge.  They were in line for defeat.  Humiliation.  And death.  They had exhausted all their resources.  Nothing they had and nothing they could do would be able to deliver them from total disaster and defeat.  The king finally confessed: “I don’t know what to do.  But my eyes are on You, Lord….”

There are some attempts at victory that you need to “give up.”  Because they are your plans, your ideas, your efforts and they are done in your strength.  I remember praying one time:  “Lord, I don’t know what to do.  I’ve tried everything I know to try.  I don’t have any resources left.  I give up.”   In my fit of self-pity and false humility, God responded to my heart:  “Good!  Now that you are through, I can do something.”

Giving up on your efforts does not mean giving in to the devil.  It simply means changing your “trying” into “trusting” and then leaving it all to God.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.  1Pe 5:7
