Word principles.

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.  Matt. 21:22

IF we will apply Word Principles to the affairs of our lives, there will be increase and abundance.  Guaranteed.  Not just materially, but emotionally, physically and spiritually as well.  There are some Strong Guarantees and some incredible promises given to us (who believe) in the Word.  When we exercise these promises and activate these provisions by our faith, increase comes.  Abundance comes.  Life happens.  Real Life.

We have looked at these promises, and wondered if they could really be true.  We have not seen the manifestation.  We have not experienced the answers we have believed for and discouragement has set in.  satan has seen to it that we rationalize and reason and move into a the place of doubt and unbelief.  This is his strategy.  This is his plan.  his only hope is that he can weaken, limit and ultimately destroy our faith.

Now, it’s time.  It’s time for you and me to move out of our complacency and comfort and begin to invade satan’s territory.  It is time for us to be aggressive.  To be on the offense.  Not the defense, but the offense.  If we are satisfied to remain in our comfort zone… in the place we now are, we are backslidden.  Backslidden.  Not keeping up with God and His divine purpose and plan for us.  Are you ready?  Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?  Are you willing to put it all on the line for God?  Are you ready to do whatever it takes?

God is looking… searching throughout the earth diligently seeking those to whom He can show Himself strong.

Will you volunteer?  Will you be one of the ones who will demonstrate the Power and the Glory of Letting God do in you whatever it takes?

I believe you are

Don’t Stagger. (Rom 4:20)

The temptation is to stagger.  The overwhelming impossibilities are sometimes more than we can carry without staggering.  Staggering speaks of weakness.  It is doubt.  It is wavering.  It is unbelief.

Whatever you are facing…. do not stagger.  Instead STAND.  “Having done all… stand!”  Some will stagger under the burden.  Others will stagger in unbelief and doubt.  Many will stagger in discouragement and disappointment.  Some will be impatient.  Staggering is the symptom that comes just before falling and falling is failing.    Falling is giving up and backing off and turning back.

Abraham “Staggered not…”  He stood.  Even when there was no “hope”, he hoped anyway!  He called those things which were not as though they already were.  God is not geared to the fickle world.   He is a God who “Changeth Not.”  Regardless of what is happening in the World, Wall Street or Washington.

Make up your mind to “stagger not…” and to believe God.  Abraham did.  He stood. When he was one hundred years old he still believed he was going to have a son… Not because he “felt like it” but because God said he would. He chose to doubt his body and believe God.

God’s Promises are not dependent on your body, your mind, your strength, or your ability.  It is your faith that reaches out and brings God’s Promises from the Spiritual World into the Natural World.  Therefore, don’t waver.  Resist doubt.  Don’t be impatient.   TRUST GOD.

These are days of great possibility and potential.  In the face of problems and obstacles and hindrances that the world calls impossible… God reminds us that all things are possible through Him.

God will make your impossibilities possible.

If you will only believe

What will it take?

What will it take to bring Real Revival to the Church?

Do we have to bottom out before we look up?

  • We have built nice buildings, but this didn’t work.
  • We have air-conditioned our facilities and padded our pews.
  • We have paved our parking lots and landscaped our buildings.
  • We have established great programs, but this didn’t work.
  • We have brought in outstanding “world-class” preachers and evangelists and teachers, but this didn’t work.
  • We have hired staff members and started Sunday Schools.
  • We have promoted, organized, educated and funded but this didn’t work.
  • We have established educational programs and Bible Institutes and recreational projects and we have preached on TV and Radio, we have published books and pamphlets, but none of these have really produced New Testament Results.

What will it take?

It is going to take hungering.

It is going to take thirsting.

It is going to take longing.

It is going to take seeking.

It is going to take searching.

It is going to take rearranging priorities.

It is going to take repentance.

It is going to take humility.

It is going to take praying.

It is going to take surrendering.

It is going to take forgiving.

It is going to take loving.

It is going to take a divine visitation.

It is going to take a Holy Ghost baptism.

It is going to take a Pentecostal renewal.

Only God can do what must be done to activate the Body of Christ.  And when we make our Move, God will make His Move.

Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord…  Zech 4:6

It’s our move

New Ground.

My farmer grandfather always saved his New Ground for his watermelon crop.  He said if you want the biggest, the best and the sweetest watermelons, plant the watermelon seed in New Ground.

New Ground is the Best Place to plant the Word Seed.  We have been cleansed by the Blood.  We have had all the stumps removed and the rocks hauled away.  We have been leveled and cleaned and nurtured by the work of the Holy Ghost.  Our hearts are ready for the seed (Word) to be planted and for life to come forth.  Sometimes we produce a crop or two.  But, then, something happens.

  • Neglect moves in.
  • We become weary or tired or discouraged.
  • Somebody hurt my feelings.
  • No one spoke to me. The music is too loud.
  • The preaching is too long.
  • The worship is too radical.
  • Nobody notices me.
  • I don’t have a place.
  • My gift is being ignored.
  • I am being overlooked.
  • God does not answer my prayers.
  • This faith stuff is not for me.
  • I tried but things got worse.

Are you in here somewhere?  Have you been thinking these things?

Unless we are constantly producing regular crops, our hearts become fallow ground.  Hard.  Crusty.  Dry.  Dead.  Lifeless.  In need of breaking up.  Until it is broken, the heart will remain cold, lifeless, dead and unfruitful.

… break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. Hosea 10:12

Show me Jesus, ever always

That I may broken, humble be,

And that You, O Loving Father

May show others HIM through me

The Glory of God.

When God created Adam his outstanding characteristic was the Glory of God.

Man was made in the Image (likeness, shadow) of God.  Man shared the Glory of God.  He became like God.  He received the Character and Nature of God.  He received the Mind of God.  He received the Power of God.

He literally took God’s Place on the earth as the One in Control.  He had the Glory.  He lived in the Glory.  He walked in the Glory.  He manifested the Glory of God.  All creation Knew.  Saw.  Witnessed.  Beheld.  Everything living and everything inanimate recognized the Glory of God in Adam.

The real problem began when man lost the Glory.  Adam sinned and when he did he lost the Glory.  The Glory departed.  And death entered.  Where Glory was now death is.   “Death entered…”  And death will stay until the Glory is restored.

When a person gets saved, he comes into the Glory of God.  He is crowned with the Glory that Adam lost.  Adam had the Glory and he lost it.

We are born without the Glory and at Salvation we get it.  When we get the Glory of God we get Life.

He that hath the Son hath life. 1John 5:12

I am come that ye might have life…  John 10:10

Glory and Life are synonymous; Death and no Glory are synonymous.

The full manifestation of the Glory of God will be the last thing that takes place before Jesus comes back.  The Church, this age and this hour are destinations for the Glory of God.  We are purposed, created and brought into this narrow band of time in order that we might come into the full manifestation of the Glory of God.

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.   Isa 60:1

This is our time

Worthy is the Lamb

April 9, 2012

  • What does Jesus do?
  • Does He do it today?
  • Can He do it for me?
  • Will He do it for me?

Read and discover just What Jesus does today… in this modern world and for our generation…

What does He do?

Everybody who has ever had a personal confrontation with Jesus Christ knows that Jesus Does Something.    The Savior we serve is not a god placed on a shelf who never does anything, never breathes, never feels, never sees, never knows; but the Jesus we know is a Savior Who does things.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me… “

Jesus quoted this one day in Nazareth as He read in the synagogue.  They gave Him the Scroll and told Him to read.    He quoted this very passage which is found in Isaiah 61:11.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord hath…

(1) anointed me to preach good tidings to the meek;

(2) He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted;

(3) He has sent me to comfort all that mourn;

(4) He sent me to give beauty for ashes;

(5) the oil of joy for the mourning;

(6) the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.  (parentheses mine)

Isaiah 61 tells us what Jesus does.

  • He is the Anointed One Who preaches Good Tidings to the meek.
  • He binds up the broken hearted.
  • He is comforts all who mourn.
  • He restores beauty to the disgraced and defamed.
  • He gives joy in the place of mourning and
  • The Garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

What does He do?

But Jesus undid what the devil did.

Three things happened when Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden.

  • spiritual death came on the entire human race.
  • man was alienated from his Creator and
  • a Curse came on this world.

That’s what the devil did.     But Jesus undid what the devil did.  Jesus fixed the mess that Adam made.  Where man died spiritually through Adam’s disobedience, we are made spiritually alive by our faith in Jesus.  When sin drove a wedge of division between the Creator and the creation, Jesus came and reconciled man to God… He reestablished our fellowship with the Father.   And Jesus became a curse to deliver us from the curse.

Gal 3:13 We are redeemed from the curse…

This is what He does:

  • He reconciles man to God.
  • He reestablishes our fellowship with God.
  • He justifies us and makes us righteous.

Wow!  Would you like to be Righteous?  Faith in Jesus Christ literally makes us Righteous.  Jesus moves into our heart, takes our sin and gives us His Righteousness.

2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Being Righteous means we have a right standing with the Father. Righteousness is not what we do, Righteousness is who we are. It means we are justified.  (Made Just-as-if-I’d never sinned) He sanctifies us.  He sets us apart as His own creation.   And soon we will be glorified by taking our garment of human flesh off and putting on our garment of a glorified, resurrection body.  Then, we will live in perfection.   We will think in perfection and we will be everything God ever created us to be. Hallelujah.

What does He do? He’s at the right hand of the Father in Heaven interceding for you and me.     He is personally praying for the unity of His body.   He is the Head of the Church and He is directing its affairs.    He is supervising angels and spiritual authorities and powers.

What does He do?   He saves those who are lost in sin.  People just like Nicodemus.

He restores broken homes just like the woman at the well who had five husbands and who was living with a man who was not her husband.

He heals the sick and afflicted just like the man who was lame for 38 years and   patiently waited by the Pool of Bethesda for his healing.

What does he do?   He feeds the hungry and fills the empty just as He fed the 5000 with a few fishes and a few loaves of bread.  He satisfies the longing heart with spiritual food that can and will sustain through times of great distress and disappointment.

What does He do?  He forgives sinners.  Check out the adulterous woman who was caught in the very act of sin in John chapter 8.  I am guilty.  You are guilty.  We all are guilty.   “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God…”  (Rom 3:23) And Jesus is the Great Forgiver.  Not only does He forgive, but He removes our sin from us as far as the east is from the west…. to a place where they do not even exist anymore.

What does He do?  He gives life to the dead just like He gave life to His friend Lazarus who had been dead for four days.  At his tomb when they rolled back the stone He said “Lazarus… come forth” and life came into that four day old corpse… a corpse that was already decomposing.   The power of God exploded in it and gave that dead body life and brought it out of the grave.  Jesus is our Guarantee, our Warranty that we too shall overcome death and the grave.  At His voice, the dead shall be raised and those of us who remain at His Coming will be changed instantly… at the blink of an eye… and we shall be like Him.  Hallelujah.

What does He do?  He comforts the distressed… In John chapter 14 He gathered His disciples together and He said “let not your heart be troubled… you believe in God believe also in me…”   What a profound Word!  We have the capacity to “let not… ” We can stop our heart from worrying and being stressed out; we can prevent our heart from being afraid and from being filled with anxiety.   When times are tough and impossible situations loom we can “let not” and prevent worry from overcoming us and rendering us helpless and hopeless.

What does He do?  He becomes poor that we might become rich! This Son of the Most High God became poor… He was Heaven’s Prince… He was at the right hand of God… He was administrating all of heaven’s affairs …. He was in Ivory Palaces…. He was in charge of all creation…. But the Lamb of God became poor that we might become rich.

2Co 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

He chose poverty to give us prosperity.  He chose to “have not” in order that we might “have.”  He was the richest, wealthiest individual in all of creation, yet He willingly laid down His wealth and took on our poverty.  “For our sakes” he became poor that we might, through His poverty, become rich.

He came down that we might go up.   He was sent into the jaws of hell that we might ascend into the glorious realms of heaven.   He had no garment to call His own except those that were given to Him as gifts.  He said the birds of the air have nests and the animals of the field have homes but the Son of Man hath not a place to lay His head… a “homeless”  Son of God is today, right now, at the Father’s side building extravagant and unimaginable mansions for us.  Hallelujah.

What does He do?  He holds all things together!

Col 1:15 …He is before all things and by Him all things consist… (hold together)

There is only One Element that keeps all creation in perfect balance and harmony… and that is the influence and the Power and the Authority of the Lamb of God.   The planets are kept in orbit; the stars are set on fire and kept on fire, the suns continue to give forth their light, all the galaxies hang in perfect balance; everything in creation, from quarks to quasars, consists and holds together because of Jesus. The Lamb of God.

Worthy is the Lamb.

Since we know something of Who He is and What He does… the third question we want to answer is this:

Why does He do it?    (next blog)

Getting the Supply to the Need

March 22, 2012

  •  How can I receive God’s Promises?
  • Why is it my Prayers seem to go unanswered?
  • How do I get the Word to work for me?
  • Why are my needs unmet?

Read and discover how you can actually and definitely get God’s supply to your Need!

“My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus…”   (Phil 4:19)

Now:  Name your need.  Say it out loud.  Tell the devil what it is.  Tell demons what it is.  Tell yourself what it is.  Tell God what it is (even though He already knows).

“Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us…”  (Eph 3:20)

Confess:  God is Able.

God is Able to Do.

God is Able to Do Exceeding Abundantly.

God is Able to Do Exceeding Abundantly Above.

God is Able to Do Exceeding  Abundantly Above All that I Ask.

God is Able to Do Exceeding Abundantly Above All that I Ask or Think.

God is Able to Do Exceeding Abundantly Above All that I Ask or Think According to the POWER.

God is Able to Do Exceeding Abundantly Above All that I Ask or Think according to the POWER that WORKS.

God is Able to Do Exceeding Abundantly Above All that I Ask or Think according to the POWER that WORKS in ME.

2Kgs. 7:3   And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?

2Kgs. 7:4   If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.

2Kgs. 7:5   And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.

2Kgs. 7:6   For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.

Why sit we here til we die?

If we are not moving we are sliding back.  If we are not pressing on, we are sliding back.  If we are not spiritually ahead of where we were last Sunday, we are sliding back.

We must discover what it means to “press through” in order to tap into God’s supply.  There will always be obstacles and barriers to prevent us from getting what God has promised…  satan will see to that.  Are we willing to “press through” and to persist until we break into the very presence of Jesus?

Mr 2:4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken [it] up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

Mr 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

Mr 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

Lu 19:3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Lu 11:8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

Gen 32:24 ¶ And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.

25  And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.

26  And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

Dan 3:16  Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we [are] not careful to answer thee in this matter.

17  If it be [so], our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver [us] out of thine hand, O king.

18  But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

Remember the 4 faithful ones who carried the man sick with palsy to where Jesus was.  They could not enter the house nor get close to Jesus because of the “press” but they did not stop.  They Pressed Through.

Remember the woman with an issue of blood… she would not be stopped.  She would not be denied.  She persisted… she was determined… she took great risks… but she “pressed through” and touched Jesus,

Remember Zacchaeus… the little man who was hidden in the crowds.  He wanted to see Jesus but he couldn’t because of the hindrances… he was small of stature and the crowds were great.  But he “pressed through” and climbed a tree and saw Jesus and got to have Jesus in his home as a guest..

Remember Jacob.  He refused to let go until the angel blessed him.   He Pressed Through.

Remember Paul.  In the storm he determined to Press Through to the Promise rather than consider the problem.   “I believe God.”

Acts 27:22   And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you, but of the ship.

Acts 27:23   For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

Acts 27:24   Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

Acts 27:25   Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

Folks, I am determined to Press Through.  I am determined to Hold On.  I am determined to Believe God.  I have set my face LIKE FLINT to seek Jesus and to Know Jesus as I have never known Him in my life.  Are YOU?  Are you SET in your MIND to PRESS THROUGH?

How do we get God’s Supply to our Need?  He has it.  How do we get it?  It begins by a determination to PRESS THROUGH.

God has the Supply if you have the need..  Kingdom principles in operation will draw from God’s Supply and satisfy your Need..  The Bible is our operation Manual.  It is Alive with God’s Power and will Provide the Answer you are seeking for.  There is a Kingdom Key that will unlock the door to God’s Supply and channel that Supply to your Need.  We can boldly and confidently confess:  “Our God whom we serve is Able to Deliver us… and He will deliver us out of thy hand, O (satan) king..  (Dan 3:17)

God wants you to prosper in everything you set your hand to do.  God wants you well, full of wisdom, overcoming worry, prospering, living in complete deliverance from all satan’s snares and temptations, strong in mind and body, mature and complete and perfect..

2Pet. 3:9   The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

God has resources to get you where He wants you..  He has the ABILITY to get you where He wants you and to give you what He wants you to have.  You cannot make it on your own… You need God.  That is exactly why you are failing in certain areas of your life right now.  God wants you to PRESS THROUGH and that is what we are going to deal with today.

Many people in the Bible PRESSED THROUGH to GOD.   If they can, we can..  If they did, we should..  If they received, we can receive..  God has not changed nor has satan..  The same Word that defeated the devil still works and will work for you..  Today..  now…

Mark chapter 5 is our text.  In this chapter, Jesus conquers demons, disease and death.

The man from Gadara who was full of demons got delivered..

The woman with the issue of Blood got healed of her disease.

The daughter of the Ruler of the Synagogue who died got raised from the dead..

The Woman with an issue of blood is our example.

I.  SHE HAD A NEED… A SERIOUS NEED  (25)

Her need was not a new need.  She had been sick for 12 years.  In these 12 years the Scripture tells us that she SUFFERED.  She was vexed and tormented by this persistent problem.  (That is just like the devil..  he comes to steal, kill and destroy.)  She not only suffered physically, but she SPENT ALL she had.  She was sick and she was broke.  She had been sick and that sickness had stolen all her financial resources.  She had exhausted all her resources and was still sick.  Not only was she SICK and BROKE but she never got any better… instead she grew WORSE and WORSE.  She was caught up in a HOPELESS and FUTILE and FATAL set of circumstances.  This is just the kind of case Jesus specializes in..

Is this like YOU?  Have you been vexed and tormented for years by the enemy?  Has he robbed from you and made you miserable?  Have you wearied in your warfare with him?  Does it seem like he will never quit or let up or ease up?  Have you suffered at the hand of satan?  Have you done all you knew to do and yet you got worse?  (Spent all you had and yet was nothing bettered?)   You have seen no improvement and experienced no relief in spite of your efforts?  Are you worse and not better?  THEN YOU ARE AT THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME..  This is your DAY of DELIVERANCE..  Your Need will be SUPPLIED according to God’s Riches in Glory by and through Christ Jesus..  Your “nothing better, growing worse”  situation is just about over..  You will be better and you will not grow worse..  Hallelujah..

II. SHE HEARD ABOUT JESUS  (27)

This woman had HEARD about JESUS.  What do you think that she had heard?  Did she hear that the “day of miracles is over”?  Did she hear that in this “dispensation” healing did not work?  Did she hear that the “supernatural” has no place in modern, structured, organized churches?  Did she hear that the “gifts of the Holy Ghost” and “tongues” were not for today?  What do you think that she heard?  She heard that He was healing the sick and raising the dead and casing out devils..  She knew that Jesus had the SUPPLY for her NEED..  If she had heard all this negative stuff that most people are hearing in their churches today,  she would have a hard time believing.  She would have been Religious, but she would have been wrong.  She would have been “Theologically Correct” but she would have died.

What have YOU heard about JESUS where you go to church?  What you hear about Jesus should determine WHERE you go to church..  Because WHERE you go to church will determine what you HEAR about JESUS..  If His Gospel is limited and restrained and watered-down where you go to church, you will not get what you need from God and God will not get what He wants from you..

III.  SHE RISKED HER LIFE TO GET WHERE JESUS WAS  (27)

She literally RISKED her LIFE to get where Jesus was.  According to the Law, she was ceremonially “unclean” because of her issue of blood and was subject to being stoned to death if she was caught out in public.  She counted the cost and made the decision and MOVED OUT.  She faced certain and terrible death if she were caught… but she HAD to GET to where JESUS WAS..  She risked her life..

Some today cannot risk a Ball Game or a TV program to get where Jesus is.  Some will not risk Religion or Tradition or Custom or Denomination to get where Jesus is.  Others refuse to risk comfort, convenience and time and effort.  No wonder we have trouble getting what Jesus has for us.  This woman VENTURED OUT..  She LAUNCHED OUT..  She PRESSED THROUGH..  She Believed, Trusted, Risked her life and in great DESPERATION set her course to get her need met and receive her healing..  She did not wait until later or for a more convenient set of circumstances… she MOVED in the midst of great RISK because she KNEW Jesus had her answer..  Do you BELIEVE JESUS has your ANSWER TODAY?  Are you willing to take some RISKS in order to get through to Jesus?  Is your REPUTATION more important than your HEALING?  Are your so called “friends” more important to you than receiving your ANSWER?  Are your RELATIVES standing in your way?  Are they preventing you from LAUNCHING OUT and VENTURING OUT and MOVING with GOD?  Some of you are being held back and restrained and hindered because you are AFRAID of what OTHERS WILL THINK or SAY if you RISK ALL in order to GAIN JESUS..  Learn from this DESPERATE, NEEDY, DYING woman… she RISKED EVERYTHING and LOST NOTHING but her SICKNESS.  She FOUND JESUS.  Hallelujah..

IV.  SHE WAS DETERMINED TO GET TO JESUS  (27)

The Scripture says:  “she came in the press behind and touched His garment…”  The word “Press” comes from a Greek word meaning “RIOT”… there was a “riot” going on around Jesus, yet this woman was determined to Press Through in order to get to Jesus.  She would not be denied.  She would not give up because of a difficult or impossible situation.  She was not discouraged and she did not back down… she made up her mind to get her answer and she refused defeat and delay.  She was desperate and she was determined.  She knew Jesus had her answer.  She totally refused to allow satan to prevent her from getting what was rightfully hers..  What “riot” has hindered you?  What difficulty or impossibility has made you give up and quit?  Are you not willing to COME THROUGH the PRESS in order to TOUCH JESUS?  It is never easy and it is never convenient.  It always demands COMMITTMENT and DETERMINATION and BOLDNESS.

The magnitude of the problem did not hinder the woman.  The impossibility of the situation did not prevent her from keeping on.  The “riot” was not big enough to keep her away from Jesus.  If YOU will COME THROUGH the PRESS (Fight through every difficulty) you can TOUCH JESUS, TOO..  demon forces will fight you.  satanic powers will resist you.  hell will rise up against you.  Will you COME THROUGH the PRESS?  Jesus is here NOW… one TOUCH and you will be made WHOLE..

V. SHE RECEIVED WHAT SHE BELIEVED  (29)

(1) She believed that JESUS could heal her and would heal her.  She believed in spite of what others said or thought or did.  She risked her life to get where Jesus was.  She knew her healing depended on what she did with what she believed.

(2) She made a powerful verbal faith-confession..  “If I may touch but His clothes, I SHALL BE WHOLE..”  Notice her faith:  “I shall be (not may be or hope to be or one day will be..) but I shall be WHOLE..”  (“Whole” here is the Greek “SOZO” which is the all-inclusive word for “salvation”:  delivered… healed… saved… protected… prospered… preserved)

]

(3) She did what she confessed.  She said and then she did.  Her faith was followed through with ACTION.  “Faith without works is dead” or “faith without corresponding action is no good…”  She acted on what she believed..

(4) She received what she believed..  “And straightway (immediately) the fountain of her blood (unchecked for 12 years) was dried up and she FELT in her body that she was healed of that plague”  (verse 29)

VI.  GOD KNOWS WHEN A BELIEVER PRESSES THROUGH (30)

Jesus knew that “Virtue” (dunamis: miraculous, wonder-working power) had “gone out of Him”…

Many were touching Him but only ONE TOUCHED him in FAITH.  The Faith Touch is a “different touch”..  It is the “faith touch” that pleases God..  He delights in His children PRESSING THROUGH to TOUCH HIM.   He knows it and He delights in it..  “Without Faith it is impossible to please Him..”  How long has it been since YOU PRESSED THROUGH TO GOD?  Would you like to TAP into HIS POWER TODAY?  He is here and you can come through the press..  One touch will change your life and set you free..  Don’t be discouraged or dismayed or afraid..  Get up RIGHT NOW and COME TOUCH JESUS and BE MADE WHOLE.

Pressure can mold you into what you need to be.

In each of these cases:

1.  There was determination

2.  There was willingness to take a risk

3.  There was an inner knowing that all would be OK

4.  There was an understanding that Jesus could and would do it

5.  There was faith

6.  There was willingness to “Pay the Price”

7.  There was Victory

8.  There was Glory given to God

Hello!!

March 21, 2012

Glad to have you with us as we launch a new ministry outreach that will, hopefully, be a blessing to all who stop by.

We will be posting encouraging principles from the Word of God that we have learned and experienced over a half century of preaching, teaching and pastoring.   I really believe that you will find this to be a great place to find inspiring and helpful truths that will see you through the mud puddles and pit falls that often come your way as you make your way through trying times.  Please feel free to make a comment or post a reply to us… we would love to hear from you!
