Word for Today:  December 25

The Word Became Flesh.

Today, the whole world recognizes and celebrates the Miracle of the Ages.  Nothing in time or eternity can match the significance of what happened on a Judean hillside nearly 2000 years ago.

All of time has been divided into “before” and “after” because of this Divine Visitation.  Jesus came.  Jesus came from heaven.  Jesus was sent by God into the earth.  He came in the form of flesh and was born of a virgin.  This had never happened before and it will never happen again.

This is the Miracle of the Ages.  God became Flesh.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.  John 1:14

The Incarnation is the most significant, awesome and overwhelming work of God since the Creation of all things.  It (the Incarnation) is the crowning achievement of the Work of God and is the most complete expression and revelation of His Nature and Character.

It is the unfathomable Love of God for you and me.

Merry Christmas

Use what you have. Begin where you are.

David, the sling shot boy, did not wait until he had something else… he took what he had and trusted God to make it work…  He took his staff… his sling… and five smooth stones.  He did not wait for something better or for more equipment to arrive… He used what he had.

You can take what you have and defeat the devil today.  If you have been waiting for something else you have been waiting in vain.  Some are waiting for more faith…. more strength… more favorable circumstances… more money…  but God wants you to take what you have and use it to overcome the devil.

You are a New Creation in Christ Jesus and you can do all things through Him.  You have more than enough right now to overcome the devil. Remember… the devil’s biggest and best is still no match for the smallest and weakest in the Kingdom.   Jesus said: “He that is least in the Kingdom is greater than John the Baptist…”

David took what he had and partnered with God. And that, friend, will always give you the advantage over the powers of darkness.  Any warfare with the devil is always unfair to the devil…  he always has the short end of the stick and is at the mercy of the weakest Believer.

What you have is enough.

Use it

God has restored to the believer that which Adam lost

Notice:

  • Righteousness: right standing with God
  • The Image of God in complete perfection
  • Authority and dominion over the earth and all life forms on earth
  • Communion and Fellowship with the Father
  • Perfect and perpetual health
  • Prosperity: Adam had no needs that were not met
  • Protection: Adam never had an accident or suffered a loss

The believer has the same privileges and rights that Adam had and enjoyed before he sinned!  After Jesus conquered death, satan’s legal right to rule over the believer was destroyed.  satan now has no legal right to touch any believer.    Whatever satan succeeds in doing to the believer he does through deception and lies.  If you know your legal rights and privileges, you can always conquer satan.

If you are born again take a look at what is in you:

  • The Life of God: Zoe
  • The Love of God: Agape
  • The Faith of God
  • The Holiness of God
  • The Creative Power of God
  • The Goodness of God
  • The Mercy of God
  • The Forgiveness of God
  • The Generosity of God
  • The Patience of God
  • The Power – Ability – Authority – Right of God
  • The Optimism of God
  • The Truth of God
  • The Justice of God
  • The Honesty and Integrity of God
  • The Compassion of God
  • The Strength of God
  • The Joy and Gladness of God

If you are Saved, you are a New Creation, If you are a New Creation you have all New Creation Privileges… and you have them right now.

They are yours.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  Matt. 7:7

A test for your request:

  • What is your motive? Why do you want it?
  • Is it what you need or what you want?
  • Is it the Will of God? Are you sure?
  • What will you do with it once you receive it?
  • Who will benefit from what you get?

If what you are believing for passes the test…. Write your need down so that you can see it.

Then See it until you SEE it.

Here are some practical suggestions:

  • Keep the Word focused on your need.

Find the scriptures that speak to your situation.  Write them down.  Keep them before your eyes.  Meditate them.

  • See what you are believing for (even before it comes).

Take heed (blepo: see, discern, to turn the eyes to, to look at, )  what you hear, with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you; and to you that hear shall more be given. For he that hath (the Word) to him shall be given, and he that hath not (the Word), from him shall be taken even that which he hath … And He said, So is the kingdom of God… Mark 4:24-26.

  • Be willing to wait.

And let us not be weary in well doing for in due season we shall reap if we faint not…  Gal 6:9

  • Rejoice and Praise God for the Answer before it comes.

“IT is finished!”  It is done. It is settled. It is established. It is accomplished. It is MINE.

  • God says so.
  • The Word declares it.
  • I believe it.

Therefore I will be glad and rejoice in it.

I will praise Him.

I will worship Him.

I will thank Him.

Ask and you shall receive

Christ hath…

Christ hath (past tense) redeemed us from the curse of the law… that the blessings of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ (Gal. 3:13; 29)

  • The Believer is redeemed from the curse of the Law.
  • The Believer is redeemed from Guilt and Condemnation.
  • The Believer is redeemed from Sickness and Disease.
  • The Believer is redeemed from Failure and Poverty.
  • The Believer is redeemed from satan’s control and dominion.
  • The Believer is redeemed from the penalty of sin (hell).
  • The Believer no longer lives under the law of sin and death but has been redeemed and empowered to live by the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. (Rom. 8:2)

“Redeemed” means purchased or ransomed in order to set free.  Therefore, the Believer is a Purchased Possession of the Father.   We are bought with the Precious Blood of His Dear Son Jesus Christ.

And we belong to and are the property of God.  We are literally God’s Possession, God’s Dwelling and God’s Building.

For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.  1 Cor 3:9

Proper Praying

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.  Matt. 21:22

When we meet the condition of these verses we do not even have to question the possibility of our prayers being answered.  It is ALWAYS God’s will to answer any prayer that is prayed in faith for anything that is covered by the promises of God.

It is the Will of God for you and me to get what we pray for.  And we will  IF we abide in Him and His Words abide in us.  As long as you and I are in harmony with the Word of God we will not ask one thing that the Word forbids.

There are absolutely no limitations to what Believers can receive from God according to His Promises.  It is tragic that many of God’s Children are easily satisfied with falling short of so many good things when they could enjoy  a super abundance.

We have settled to a level far below what God has provided.  We have accepted a “hit or miss” and a “hope so” and “shot-gun” approach to our praying.  We have been satisfied with far less than what God has fully promised.

The Grace of God is frustrated any time we accept less than that which God has freely given us.

I do not frustrate the grace of God…  Gal. 2:21

God chose you.

According as He hath chosen us in Him, before the foundation of the world… having predestinated (foreordained) us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself according to the good pleasure of His Will… Eph. 1:4-5

God chose you and called you.  You are a special Selection of the Father.  He brought you into the world in this narrow corridor of time to provide you with the very best.  You are blessed.  You are chosen.  You are called.  You are favored.  God carefully orchestrated gene pool of your ancestors to produce in you the very talents and abilities that are necessary for you to be effective and victorious in the Things of God.  You are important.  You are unique.  You are special.  You are one of a kind.

God not only chose you but He also called you.  You have a calling on your life.  You have a purpose and a ministry to fulfill.  No one else can do it.  If you do not do it, it will not get done.  Every New Creation individual is called to produce and bear fruit.  To Reproduce.  To Multiply.  To Expand and Extend the Kingdom of God.

Never forget…

You are Significant

There is more.

There is more in God than we have experienced.   We have not arrived and we will not “arrive” before Jesus comes for His Church.

As the Spirit of God moves across the earth there is a deepening hunger for More of HIM.  This present day outpouring is bringing focus to our Christian walk.  I don’t know about you, but I want more of God.  I want all of God that I can get.  I want to experience the fullness of God.  I want to receive the maximum anointing in God’s presence and God’s Glory.  I want more.

The exciting reality is that there is more.  We can never draw out of God all that He has.  The Bible says:

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1Cor. 2:9

I want more of Jesus, I want more and more

I want more of Jesus than I’ve ever had before

I want more of Jesus, Full and fresh and free

I want more of Jesus

So I’ll give Him more of me…

Choices.

Right Choices are choices and decisions that are based on the Word of God.  They have TRUTH as their foundation.  They agree with God and with God’s Word.  They line up with the plan and purpose of God for your life.

Right Choices guarantee God’s cooperation with you in every life situation.  They make you partners with God. Right Choices will bring God’s Power into play in fulfilling your dreams and visions and goals.

When you decide right you make a spiritual connection with God and no power in heaven or earth will defeat or stand against you.  All of heaven’s resources become available to you when you choose life.  And they are guaranteed and secured by the faithfulness and integrity of Almighty God.

Wrong Choices are choices and decisions that are based on the logic and reason of the World System.  They are arrived at by feeling and sight and emotion.  They are always reasonable.  Their foundation is fact and their power is limited to what man and his mind can do.  They lock one into the natural and never allow him to break into the supernatural.  Wrong choices will release demonic powers to attack and buffet.

This is humanism in raw form.  Wrong choices invite demons to possess and oppress.  Everything that is based on decisions made in natural reasoning and sense knowledge will fail.  They all have the seed of DEATH in them and death will ultimately prevail.  All wrong choices issue forth from human reasoning, natural facts, sense knowledge and a mind that has not been renewed by the Word of God.

The Race:  Hebrews 12:1-2

The Christian Walk is compared to an athletic race.  The crowds are present.  The course is before us.  We have got to win.  Second place will not do.  The success of our calling is at stake and nothing short of first place will do.  WE MUST WIN!

There are obstacles and hindrances on the track.  There are many opportunities to fail and not finish our course.  To give in to fatigue or weariness or weakness will cause our opponent to get ahead.  It will make us lose the race.  And WE MUST WIN!

Every Believer is in this race.  You will run or you will give up.  You will win or you will lose.  Every believer is on the track… and so is our opponent.

There is a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us.  They are watching and they are cheering. They have gone before us and they have won.  They know what is before us and they know we can win.  They are in heaven’s grand stand and they are rooting for us.  They watch and they observe… Our victory is important to them!

We are to lay aside hindrances or weights that will keep us from doing our best.  The runners strip off their outer garments and lighten their load so that they can use all their energy in running the race.

We are to run and we are to run with patience.  (With “Patience” running alongside of us).  Patience means that we know we will win regardless of how the race appears because God is with us.

We are to look to Jesus as we run.  He is the goal and the Finish Line.  He is the Victor’s Circle.  We stay ahead and we win as long as we look to Him.

We are to consider Him when we get tired and weary and are tempted to quit.

The Believer’s greatest temptation is to give up.  In times of great stress and trial and when it seems that all has failed… we are tempted to faint in our minds.  This is where the victory is won or lost….The mind is the battlefield and that is exactly where the war is won or the war is lost.  Keep your eyes on the Prize….

We Must Win
